NNTC and CROC Implement Virtual Reality Training System for Dubai Municipality

NNTC, a UAE-based software developer and solution provider, together with its strategic partner CROC, an end-to-end IT solutions provider, announced the implementation of an advanced simulation and training system powered by Virtual Reality (VR) in Dubai Department of Wastewater Treatment Plants and Drainage Network of Jebel Ali Municipality.

The nuances and scale of the training system, which includes a detailed virtual replica of factories using HTC VIVE’s advanced VR technology, make it a one-of-a-kind implementation in the UAE.

Dmitry Doshaniy, Managing Director of NNTC, said: “Dubai is increasingly embracing Smart City applications and a digital-first attitude for the efficiency, safety and sustainability these technologies inject into infrastructure. Our custom VR simulators, like the one we just built for Dubai Municipality, allow companies to train their staff in a parallel and secure digital environment. Employees can practice equipment operation and maintenance procedures, process flow and lockouts, and can perform emergency drills. They can master new skills without increased risk and without affecting the operational process.

Daniel Khayat, Product Manager, HTC MEA, said: “VR-based training is a powerful tool because it builds skills, builds muscle memory, reduces equipment downtime and most importantly, enables employees to train safely, even when practicing life-saving emergency procedures. security scenarios.
