National training day today

The 26th National Training Day and the 41st anniversary of the founding of the Bangladesh Society for Training and Development will be celebrated through various programs in the country today.

On the eve of the day, President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina issued separate messages wishing the day’s programs every success.

“To accelerate the socio-economic development of a country, a skilled, experienced, professional, service-oriented and industrious workforce is essential,” President M Abdul Hamid said in a message on Saturday.

Along with formal education, there is no alternative to professional improvement and modern trainings to create skilled human resources, he added.

“The current government has taken the issue very seriously and has drawn up various human resource development programs,” the president said.

Abdul Hamid praised BSTD’s role in observing the day and hoped that it would continue its efforts to develop a skilled workforce in the country.

In her message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that realizing the importance of training, her government has put in place various development and reform programs for the training sector.

“The budget allocation for the training sector has been increased. Priority has been given to infrastructure development of training centers,” she said, adding that the duration of the basic training course for cadre duty officers has been extended from four months to six months.

She also said that various reform programs including expanding the scope of training at home and abroad are being implemented to develop the civil service of Bangladesh as a modern and service-oriented organization. services.

She hopes that the BSTD will act in the coming days as an auxiliary force in the implementation of the government’s “Vision-2041” and help build “Sonar Bangla” as dreamed of by the founding President of Bangladesh, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. , developing human resources.
