Model Training Day returns November 7 at Black River Landing

Anyone interested in learning more about the tabletop railroad can attend the Free Model Training Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nov. 7, at the Lorain Port and Financing Authority Black River Landing Transportation Center, 421 Black River Lane at downtown Lorain.

The day dedicated to model railroading has become an annual event in Lorain.

It is sponsored by the National Model Railroad Association Mid-Central Region Division 4, with members from Lorain, Cuyahoga, Huron, Erie and Medina counties.

There will be door prizes and giveaways, take-out projects and information on model scales, weather and scenery, benches and modules, laying rails, wiring and electronics, tools needed and more.

It is open to all ages and skill levels.

Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
