The Miami Herald reported Monday that Sixto and Anthony Bender are among the players who will start the Marlins’ regular season at their alternate training site (aka “Fish Tank”). Later that day, James Hoyt was traded to the Angels for cash. This follows Sunday’s announcement that Jazz Chisholm Jr. secured the second base position, beating Isan Díaz.

Then on Tuesday, Fish Stripes was first to report that Curtiss did indeed make the team.
