Jamshedpur: Inter Training Center Under-19 Cricket Tournament Starts

GVK Cricket Academy and Telco Cricket Coaching Center record victory

Jamshedpur, April 18: The Inter Cricket Training Center Under-19 Cricket Tournament was inaugurated at the Telco Cricket Ground on Monday April 18. Eight teams from Jamshedpur (Telco Cricket Coaching Society, GVK Cricket Academy, Dalma Cricket Academy, Cable Welfare Association, Cable Cricket Academy, Kadma Cricket Academy, Ghatshila Cricket Academy and Jharkhand Cricket Academy) participate in the tournament. Two games were played on the opening day.

Rajat Kumar Singh, Head of Municipal Administration and Achintya Singh, Head of CSR, Tata Motors were the main guests at the inaugural ceremony. Also in attendance were Ashish Ranjan Sen, Senior Manager, City Administration and GB Singh, Manager (Sports).

The first match of the day pitted GVK Cricket Academy against the Cable Welfare Association. Cable Welfare Association won the toss and opted to bat and they scored 88/5 in 20 overs.

Chasing 89 to win GVK Cricket Academy hit the target with 9 overs to spare and eight wickets in hand.

Master Mohit Mishra of GVK Cricket Academy won the man of the match for his 18 ball 24.

The second match of the day was contested between Telco Cricket Coaching Society and Dalma Cricket Academy. Telco Cricket Coaching Center scored 171/4 in 20 overs after winning the coin toss. In response, Dalma Cricket Coaching Center only managed to score 104/8 from 20 overs. Telco Cricket Coaching Center won the match by 67 runs.

Master Durgesh Kumar of Telco Cricket Coaching Center was named Man of the Match for scoring 49 runs from 42 balls and taking 2 wickets. The last game of the tournament will be played on April 27.
