Illinois Cannabis Training Center, Inc. (ICTC) was one of the first state-approved responsible provider training organizations in Illinois. Starting in 2019, ICTC is on a mission to positively impact communities disproportionately affected by the war on drugs. Their goal is to enable 100,000 people to access the opportunities and benefits created by the legalization of cannabis through immersive learning experiences.

ICTC now offers cannabis education in all major aspects of the cannabis industry. Access to online courses will help ICTC achieve its goal of providing cannabis education to those in the State of Illinois and the Midwest region. Lamar Richardson, Founder and CEO of Illinois Cannabis Training Center, said, “CTIC is unique because of our commitment to advancing social equity. This partnership will allow us to offer more education. Combined with our monthly cannabis bootcamps, networking parties and recruitment events, we play a real role in opening up access to career opportunities created by the legalization of cannabis.

In addition to state-approved training and online cannabis education, ICTC offers a number of programs and resources for professionals who want to become leaders in the cannabis industry. CTIC’s flagship program is its Accelerated Dispensary Bootcamp, a one-day in-person training that includes a guaranteed in-person job interview with a state-licensed cannabis dispensary.

“The launch of our online school is exciting for us as it expands the scope of our education to cover all major dimensions of the cannabis industry. Our community has been eager to access additional education through ICTC and this partnership allows us to deliver that. I am very excited about the diverse subject matter experts leading each course,” said Grant Richardson, ICTC Vice President.

Kevin Greene, Co-Founder of Cannabis Hub, said, “The cannabis industry has offered new opportunities, but at the same time, we have so many education and equity gaps to fill. Partnering with the ICTC is such a benefit to the Illinois community, and we are thrilled to have partnered with a team that is dedicated to equity in cannabis and beyond. “
