ECAA 2022 Annual Conference (Training Day and Annual General Meeting)

The Electrical Contractors Association of Alberta hosts its annual conference May 26-28, 2022, at the JW Marriott Edmonton Ice District.

Some of the one-day training sessions include:

• Lightning protection with Simon Larter
• Create a culture to attract and retain talent with Lorne Rubis
• Supply Chain and Counterfeit Materials with Sandy Beattie
• Human-Centered Lighting with Linda Conejo
• OHS Changes with Chris Spasoff
• New Learning Model Update with Mike Fernandez
• Standata update with Kevin Glubrecht
• Promote grant opportunities for electrical contractors with Alberta Municipalities, City of Edmonton, Emissions Reduction Alberta and Jesse Row
• Amendments to the Builders Lien Act with Matthew Kachur and Michael Bokhaut
• Life cycle of a fire alarm project with Jason Shesky and Mark Wilson
• Electric Vehicle Charger and High Charging Additions to Single Residential Homes with Paul Gill
• Mental Health at Work with Becky Banks

Activities include a provincial golf tournament held at the Derrick Golf & Winter Club, followed by a full day of practice sessions, as well as a welcome reception and tabletop presentations. The conference concludes with the Annual General Meeting, Awards Luncheon and President’s Ball.
